Datasets description

During the 13th Antarctic Expedition in China (1996/97), CTD observations were successfully conducted at 25 oceanographic stations in the Prydz Bay and its northern waters in Antarctica. This dataset is the CTD data of the Prydz Bay survey area from 1996 to 1997 during the 13th Antarctic Expedition in China. CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, Depth) refers to a detection instrument used to detect information such as seawater temperature, salinity, and depth. The measurement method is to use a winch to lower the CTD profile instrument cut from the ship at a certain winch speed until it reaches the specified depth of seawater, and then retract it back onto the deck. Complete an ocean cross-section survey by deploying a CTD profiler. CTD is an important tool for profile measurement of marine environmental elements
