Taklimakan Station

The National Field Scientific Observation Research station of Taklamakan Desert Meteorology in Xinjiang is the only comprehensive observation and test station of Atmospheric science in the world that goes deeper than 200km into the hinterland of mobile desert. Focusing on national strategic needs and major scientific and technological issues, targeting the forefront of desert meteorology, we have conducted long-term research on desert weather and climate, desert land atmosphere interaction, desert atmospheric physics and environment, desert detection technology and applications, and are committed to building it into an open field environment testing and sharing platform with international influence.
